About the event
Come and find out how to manage a small allotment or vegetable garden – with the added bonus of getting advice or guidance from an RHS Gold medal winning garden designer.
The session is every Tuesday from 2pm to 3pm. Contact Joan, the event organiser to arrange access. To aid social distancing a maximum of 6 people will be allowed on the site at any one session.
It’s best to wear stout shoes – certainly not heels or flip flops, whatever the weather! Bring gardening gloves, if you have any – but we have some to lend. We can provide tools and the handles of shared equipment are disinfected before and after use.
Allotments sites are fabulous pockets of peaceful horticulture in our urban landscape. They have been created and nurtured over the years by their tenants. It a wonderful privilege to have access to Albert Avenue Allotments and the opportunity to create a small community garden and fresh produce to share.
Please be aware that access is possible by appointment only and visitors to, or members of, the gardening group must always be accompanied by Joan, the named tenant of our community plot.
