About the event
Come and find out how to manage a small allotment or vegetable garden – with the added bonus of getting advice or guidance from an RHS Gold medal winning garden designer. All harvests are shared amongst volunteers.
The sessions are on Tuesdays from 2.00 to 3.00pm and Fridays from 10:00am to 11:00am. Contact Joan, the event organiser to arrange access.
It’s best to wear stout shoes – certainly not heels or flip flops, whatever the weather! Bring gardening gloves, if you have any – but we have some to lend. We can provide tools.
Allotments sites are fabulous pockets of peaceful horticulture in our urban landscape. They have been created and nurtured over the years by their tenants. It a wonderful privilege to have access to Albert Avenue Allotments and the opportunity to create a small community garden and fresh produce to share.
Please be aware that access is possible by appointment only. The allotment site is not open to the general public.
