On Saturday 20th May we met in glorious sunshine to tidy and do some planting. We worked hard, and the beds look neat now after 3 of us clipped the grass around each one. Luckily we managed to get it done before the rain came on. We also had time to plant nasturtiums, lemon balm, kohl-rabi and red veined chicory.
There’s still room for Japanese chard type plants and they, along with some green celery, could also be planted within the next week. .
So, the beds are filling up nicely and should also benefit from the mange-tout we’re going to plant next time we meet on 4th June at 10am to 12pm. Come along if you’re interested.
